Then now the journey started of M/s Saurashtra cycles and they made a record making sales and made a remarkable place in the market of cycles & he took along his son young Jinesh D Shah in Bicycle (1997) which had became a beautiful memories in his life and as like his father he got very much interested in cycle business & he started to help his father which made M/s Saurashtra cycles to grow bigger.
After Jinesh shah college he got opportunity to go to ludhiana and he was lucky enough to meet Mr Onkar Singh Pahwa who is MD of AVON CYCLES. With his mouth watering offer Jinesh Shah placed an order of 300 cycles (Avon cycles) which was totally a new brand to the market without the permission from his father he got a big tight slap from his father but his mother supported saying that jinesh should sell all the 300 cycles in 2 months and he should prove to his dad.
Jinesh Shah had sold all the 300 cycles and proved to his dad his ability. With the result and profit his dad was so happy that his son has made something like him and therefore he allowed him to take company decision to his choice,, later jinesh in 2007 took a new project Saurashtra Bsa Go @ Ramanathapuram & his father was unhappy with his decision because the rent was a huge sum & he thought that would be a big trouble but later again Jinesh shah has proved again that his decision was right & in 2017
Mr.Dinesh Shah left to paradise & Jinesh took care of both the stores and in 2020 Jinesh decided to reconstruct M/s Saurashtra cycles(VH ROAD CBE)& as he dreamt now the store is being constructed on 12000 sq ft which is one of place at the Heart of the city.Due to his mother advise he is not planning to open the store as of now.
In the year 1920 Surka family members started migrating towards south India from Bhavnagar (Saurashtra state) Gujarat, the family reached Sowkarpet Chennai.In 1930 a Cycle shop(metropolitan) was opened by Mr.lavji (one of the family members). Even he had given the premises to English East India Company during world war II & later he went to the court and also won the case.
Later Mr. Mulchand Shah & Gambhir Shah had 1st opened the M.P Shah cycle store at Philips street near broadway & later they had to close the store due to some circumstances.
In the year 1948, Mr. Dinesh M shah was born S/o Mulchand P Shah and he was educated only still 10th standard in Jain school he couldn’t continue his education further due to family situation So his father Mulchand Shah shifted his family to Adoni,Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. The reason going to ADONI is for Raleigh cycles quota.
They got Raleigh Cycles Quota which was in huge demand at that period So Mr.Dinesh M shah started working there along with his brother Ramesh Later Mr.Dinesh shah got married in the year 1975 & had 2 daughters ( Madhvui D Shah and Arti D Shah) & 1 son (Jinesh D Shah).
In the year 1982 The Rayalseema cycle store had an owner issue where Mr.Dinesh shah Got further problems with the store owner so they went to the court but unfortunately the results were negative in both HIGH COURT as well as THE SUPREME COURT and had to face a big loss & he was devastated.
Later with the help of his cousin brother (Mr.Hasmukh Shah), he got a job at Bombay cycles as an SR. Manager. He did record-breaking sales where around 90 cycles were sold in a day Later in the year 1987 he had an idea to open his store but he couldn’t make it due to lack of funds at that time his cousins & his Spouse’s family Mr Jaysuklal helped him with some funds and then he got an opportunity to take M/s Saurashtra cycles from his other brother in law (Mr.Bhupath Rai) for 1 lakh rupees. But his father Mr Mulchand was unhappy with his decision for relocating to Coimbatore because he felt that the market of Madras is better than Coimbatore but Dinesh shah stood by his decision with great support from his wife Saroj Shah.
